After my Mum died my Dad and I went to see her in the chapel of rest. They had made her face look lovely but her hairstyle was completely different. It took me aback as she looked so different, but I wasn’t upset, I just valued the chance to see her again. However I knew my Mum would have been very upset about her hair. She was always so particular about it. Afterwards I was distressed that I’d never thought to keep a lock of her hair – it would have been a very special momento.
