I grew up in Wales – in the middle of the country. When my dad died it was late at night. My step mother needed to be in bed. With a nurse we phoned funeral directors and were told it would be several hours before he could get there. So – I was asked if I could help lay my dad out. I have no medical qualifications etc and would never have believed I could do this – but I did it and was so glad I did. It gave me the chance to do one last thing for my dad which was so special and helped me grieve in a very positive way.
